Hornig appear every 3 days. If Hornig appear today, that mean he will appear again next 3 days.

i know it appear every 3 days. But sometimes hornig raid 2 days or 4 days. Thats why i'm confuse. It raid at friday, is it at day 3 or after 3 days? If at day 3, it'll be Monday. If next 3 days, it'll be Tuesday. So, which of it?
